Led by the Baycrest@Home social work team, this one-hour event will cover a variety of topics and will allow members of the public to get their questions answered on all things related to aging and caregiving.

Join us as Graham Webb from The Advocacy Centre for the Elderly provides participants with insights on a variety of topics such as property decision-making, personal care decision-making, and the duties of attorneys and guardians. This event will be followed by a Q&A for participants to ask any questions they may have on the topic.

Join dementia & caregiving expert Eleanor Silverberg as she sheds light on mindfulness as a beneficial coping practice applied under her 3-A Coping Framework: Acknowledge, Assess, Assist. A demonstration will be presented of the modified mindfulness program she created to accommodate a variety of cognitive levels, based on Eleanor’s book “Mindfulness Exercises for Dementia.”

Social isolation and loneliness have taken on a new meaning for opportunistic perpetrators and vulnerable seniors during COVID-19. In this webinar, participants will learn the signs of elder abuse as well as ways to help someone who might be at risk of being victimized. The webinar will also reinforce the importance of recognizing the valuable contributions that seniors make and empower them to protect themselves with the knowledge and tools that will keep them safe.

In this presentation, participants will explore a framework that will maximize your sense of well-being and lead a more balanced lifestyle. This presentation will be led by Baycrest@Home’s Program Director, Dr. Adriana Shnall.
